Glendora Little League Coronavirus Update

Due to the Corona virus (COVID-19), The Glendora Little League is following the strong recommendation from Little League International and NJ health officials on when baseball activities can resume.

As of now, Little League has a tentative date of May 11 to resume practicing, we do not have a date for when NJ will give us the “OK” to begin. We have been in contact with other towns in the district and they are also using the same guidelines and plan on having a shortened season.

With the above in mind, we are establishing a new plan to proceed with the 2020 season once we get the approval from Little League and the NJ health officials. Please note, this is a TENTATIVE plan and dates may change at any time.

1)     Practices to start between May 11, 2020 and June 1, 2020
2)     Depending on the practice start date there will be a minimum of 2 weeks of practice
3)     A shortened schedule will be created for all divisions
4)     As of now, there will only be a 12 yr. old District team. There will be no 10 yr. old district team or  7/8 yr. old All-Star team.
a.      If the District decides to do a 10 yr. old tournament, we will look to add a team.
5)     We are still working out the details for game play and social distancing as well as sanitizing the dugouts and stands.
6)     If you do not feel comfortable with your child playing this season we understand.
a) We are working on a refund plan for you.
b) You are responsible for returning the money you've collected from friends and family for the raffle ticket drawing.
c) Please be patient as we figure this out.

We are excited about our community starting to open up and get back to a little bit of normalcy. We cannot wait to see everyone at the ballpark, in due time!

Again, I thank you for your patience during these trying times and hope to see you soon.

Thank you,
